Morris, Cashier of the State Bank of Jennings county, has been summoned to appear before the State tax commissioners with the books and ’ papers of the bank.B. C. Baker was at Osgood on business, Monday.C. W. Milhous and son, of Seymour, were in town, Thursday.Miss Lizzie Hinchman visited relatives at Butlerville, last week,Henry Hinchman made a business trip to Cincinnati, on Saturday.Miss Hilliard, of Warsaw, was the guest of Mrs. Lizzie Nauer, on Friday.Miss Annie Barr, of Brownstown.The large pile of rubbish near the stave factory caught fire, on Tuesday night, and caused quite on excitement for awhile. Our citizens responded promptly to the alarm, and extinguished the flames before any damage was done.Stephen P. Smith had the end of his index linger on his right hand clipped off while engaged in running one of the spoke lathes in R. Leavitt’s factory, Saturday morning. He was laid up for a few days, but is able for duty againnow.
