A group of Madison County gymnasts and character dancers were declared national champions at a recent two-day competition in Cincin nati. They are the students of Bonnie Sheri Heath of Bonnie’s School of Dance Gymnastics, Alexandria, and their branch studio, Rainbow Academy, Elwood. The winners were Holli Gosnell, Heather Gosnell, Treva Bailey, Dar nell Eastman, Casey Sizelove, Jenny Blythe, Amber Boston, Ryan Noel, Joey Montgomery, Angel Blanton, Nora Bowyer, Shawna Alfrey, Ra chelle Harris, Brittany Seastrand, Brooklyn Seastrand, Kyley Wells and Heather Funk. To qualify to compete the students had to win first or second at a re gional contest. Out of 10 entries, the studio placed first in six, second in three and third in one. First place wins were in large group gymnastics, small group gym nastics, duet gymnastics, solo gymnastics, solo jazz and solo character. Second place wins were in small group gymnastics, duet character and solo character. Third place was in solo tap. Teen dance at Genter Center The Anderson Park Department will sponsor a teen dance at the Genter Center today at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $1 per person. The Coca-Cola Video Van will provide the music.
