Mrs. Josie McCartyJosie McCarty, 85,1101 Frey died Wednesday morning at the Central Kansas Medical Center. She was bom Aug. 10, 1891, in Marengo, Ind. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1901, and she lived on a farm southwest of Great Bend until her marriage to Ed'McCarty July11 25,1910, in Kinsley. *She and her husband, who had worked on the railroad for. a short time and was a plasterer by trade, has lived in New Mexico and in Gray and Ford Counties in Kansas. They returned to Great Bend in 1941. Her husband preceded her in death.Survivors are one son, Jim McCarty of Hutchinson; two. daughters, Mrs. VerdaRoseberry of Topeka and Mrs. Crystal Toot ctf Great Bend; one foster daughter, Mrs. Kay Keener.Funeral will be at 10 a.m.-Saturday at the Bryant-Fryberger Mortuary with Rev. Robert Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery'. Friends may call at the mortuary after 6 p.m. today. There will be a memorial to he Bible Baptist Church.
