Round-Up Plans CompleteOfficers of the Midway Saddle Club of Johnson County said this week that plans are complete for staging their second Dinosaur Round-Ui) here Labor Day week end.The big week end of festivities is schedule^ to get underway at Oakdale Park Saturday afternoon, Sept. 3, with an Old Fiddlers contest that is expected to continue through the afternoon.Starting at 8:30 p.m. there will be a water show featuring Glen Rose swimmers, under direction of Mrs. Robert D. English. This will be followed by a swimming exhibition staged by students who received swmming and life saving awards during the Red Cross Swimming Program held at the park pool in July.A dance will get underway at the park’s skating rink at 10 p.m. and will continue until midnight, with music furnished by the sponsoring club. The day’s activities will be climaxed with a skating session following the dance until 1:00 a.m.Sunday’s program will be moved to the Glen Rose rodeo arena where Play Day activities, highlight of the week endi, will get underway at ,1:00 p.m. and continue until a late hour when members of some 25 visiting riding clubs will vie in Play Day contests.A Play Day sweetheart will be chosen from sweethearts of the clubs present, and will be crowned in festivities that evening.The public is invited to attend all events of the week end, it was said.MRS. JEWELL SYDES IS BURIED AT ODENFuneral services were held at Oden Chapel Monday, Aug. 15, at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Jewell Anges Sydes, 63, of Fort Worth. Interment was in Oden Chapel Cemetery.Survivors are a granddaughter, four sisters including Mrs. Odessa Bum-pas of Walnut Springs and a brother.Mr. and Mrs. Jerre Dea-son and grandson, Phil Green of Houston, are vacationing in Colorado.Mr. and Mr§. John Marquis and Mjarile and Marcus of Fort Stockton spent Suhday with Mr. and Mrs. Charley Marquis.
