Genevieve Ardene Metz, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Arden Metz of Chariton, and Robert L. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ger ald Adams of Lacona, were mar ried Saturday, ‘Aug. 1, at 4:30 p.m., at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chariton, Elder Vernon Kent performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with pink and white gladiolas, lavender majestic daisies and white pom poms. As a prelude to the ceremony, wedding music was provided by Mrs. Elaine Prather, organist, sister of the bride. ‘The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length white ‘bridal gown of pure silk over white taffeta. Her gown fea tured a scooped neckline and bouffant skirt. Her fingertip veil of illusion net was held in place by a white velvet headband. She carried red and white roses with ribbon showers on a white Bible. Attendants were Diane Baugh man as a maid of honor, the brides sisters, Mrs. Marlene White as bridesmatron and Karen Metz as bridesmaid. All were dressed in blue silk taffeta. They carried cor sages of red roses and white car nations on white satin fans. ‘Flower girls were Deborah Ann Metz, sister of the bride, and Ethal Rochelle Prather, niece of the ‘bride. They wore identical gowns of ice blue taffeta and net veils held in place by headbands of white flowers. They carried bas kets of red rose petals, Kevin Elihu White, nephew of the bride, carried the rings on a white satin pillow. Eldon Milnes served as best man,, Guy J. White and John Koffman were groomsmen. The bride’s mother wore blue silk with white accessories. The bridesgrooms mother wore navy silk with white accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of red roses. A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. The three-tiered wed ding cake was cut by Mrs. Adeline Johnson; Mary Shriver poured the coffee and Linda. McKee served the punch, Patty Johnson was in charge of the gift table. Mr. Adams is employed by the Firestone Tire Company. The cou ple is making their home at 732 19th St.,, Des Moines. Ben Lenigs Wed Fifty Years Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lenig, North Grand, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Aug. 30, and will hold open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Their friends are invited. Nickelson Family Gets Together in Lacona A dinner was held Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Frank Nickelson home in Lacona honoring Mr. and Mrs. Amos Worley and family of Kansas City, Mo. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Nickelson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nickelson and Eddie, Mr. and Mrs. Frank .Nickelson, all of La cona, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nickel son, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Nickelson, Mr. and Mrs. Keith ,Nickelson, Pamela and Terry, Mr. Fred Starkey, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Stierwalt, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hock, Douglas, Stevie and Dwight, all of Chariton, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clark, Diane, Allen, and Peggy, all of Derby.
