He married Arabella Guyer of Brimfield, May 5, 1865, and to their union seven children were bom: jMrs. Nettie Emery died in 1890, Guyer died in 1881, and Louise in 1896. The members of the family now living: are Paul Jones, of Pomona, California; Almon R., Ernie and Elizabeth Jones, of Galva. The I grandchildren are Nettie Emery, of Galva, and the four children of Paul Jones in California.After the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Jones they resided a few months in Altona, but they came to Galva in 1866, making this their home until death claimed them. Mrs. Jones died Nov. 8, 1913.In business Mr. Jones was a lumber merchant for „£he,- first five years of his residence in Galva. In H871 he engaged in stock and grain business and continued for some years, retiring to look after thefarms he then owned. —~The deceased was among the pioneers of this community and was al-1 ways a man of integrity. He built the double brick building now used for store purposes on Exchange :street.
