A very enjoyable event took place at the South Melbourne Town Hall on nesting evening, Sth Angst, when Mr. and Wee 1. Slutzkin gave a reception ball to their em ployes The hall was picely led with young people, who numbered abot . The dhe rations were were tatefully carried out, and the refreshments were of the first border MM present thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the dines grew a great eyeness. During the evening the guests wave thee hearty cheers for the hosts, and in responding Mr. Slutzkin, in am very witty speech, expressed his pleasure at seeing them all pase and ted to gether and having such a good time, and thanked them sincerely on behalf of his dear wife and celf A Maghlight photo was taken of the gathering, and, altogether, the ar rangements were admirably carried out, and rejected a real credit on the members of the committees, which imelided the following gentlemen:—Ur, J. Wasman, anil Yesers, Kenry Blashki, Louis Blashki, I. Shutekin, Myer Blashki, Oscar Behrend, S., Julian , Behrend, and N. Frobere .The ovisie and dancing were kept in fallowing until chose on midnight, when the jovial gathering dis persed homewards. :
