Molena Girl Tries to Kill Self, Molena, Ga., Aug. 18.—Miss Carl Rig gins, who has dene in bad health since the death of her only brother, six weeks ago, attempted suicide yesterday at daylight by hurling herself into a well. Groans were heard and the girl was rescued, unconscious and almost frozen. Given Life Sentence, Meridian, Mies, Aug. 18%—Life im prisonment is the sentence imposed on B. C. Walton, convicted of killing W. T. O'Flynn in the Beavers’ club June 2. The jury was out twenty minutes. The case will be appealed.
