The Misses Tillie and Marie Eegerman, of St. Wayne, Ind., were the guests of Mr and Mrs Will Schlegel Sunday. Mayor J. A. Evans and Wm. Martin went to Toledo today to confer with parties who talk of building an interurban line to this city. Miss Clara Ehinger, of Toledo, and Miss Stella Ehinger are the guests of Gen. and Mrs. W. J. King, of this city. They will re main a couple of weeks. The threshers were at the home of John Reuhla Saturday and cleaned up 2,000 bushels of oats for him. They averaged over 50 bushels to the acre. Henry Rampe and sister, Em ma, and Miss Emma Caton and Branda McDowell, of Ottawa, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Isaac Deveaux over Sunday. Mrs A. Elkins and daughter Mildred, of Peru, spent Sunday in the city. They were accom panied home by her son, Don, who has been visiting here for the past month. Robbers entered the home of Capt. L. W. Richardson in North Defiance Sunday afternoon and turned the house up— side down, but did not get much of value. The matter is being investigated. Would like a few students in mathematics. Mrs. Carl] Elliott, of Ft Wayne, was the guest of Dr. and Mrs. N. G. Woodward Sunday. Roy Culkins is working at A.B. Davis’ grocery this week during the absence of Bruce Davis.
