Mai Goodman, a'we'l known citizen of this county, had trouble with one of his nephews, one Jones, at Eureka Sat* •;rday last. Goodman knocked Jones down and was beating him, when James Hatdeld interfered. Goodman told Hatfield he would shoot any man who would disturb him ,as he was going to have satisfaction. Just then a Mr. Tilley ap-! proached and leveled a blow at Good* I man with a piece of scantling that laid the latter out. He was seriously hurt but rode home, though we learn that his case is considered critical. The above is a statement of the facts as we heard them, but may be incorrect In some particulars Later information Is that Malachi will recover.
