Mai Goodman, a'we’l known citizen of this county, had trouble with one of his nephews, one Jones, at Eureka Saturday last. Goodman knocked Jones down and was beating him, when James Hatdeld interfered. Goodman told Hat field he would shoot any man who would disturb him ,as he w’as going to have satisfaction. Just then a Mr. Tilley ap-! proached and leveled a blow at Good* } man with a piece of scantling that laid the latter out. He was seriously hurt but rode home, though we learn that his case is considered critical.
