M., nt which time said proposals will be opened and let to the lowest bidder, the committee reserving to themselves the • right to reject all the proposals if they deem it tor the best interests of the city so to do.Said proposals to be for levelling the Poor House and building a foundation and .collar wall uniter said house to consist of a stone wall three feet in hight and eighteen inches in thickness. excepting a portion cf oast aide of said wall which shall be pari of collar wall, said collar to be twelve feet square on inside and wall to be seven feet in bight and eighteen inches in thickness, said wall to close with the joists of said building.Said proposals to specify the amount per perch which shall include all necessary excavation and the furnishing of all the materia)*, said wall shall be what ia commonly denominated a mortar wall.There exists an excavation twelve feet square more or less, surrounded by a wooden wall where said cellar will be placed. The above job must be done in a workmanlike manner and to the acceptance of the committee. The payment for the above job will bo made in city orders drawn on the Treasurer of the city of La crossc.The innin building 3s 22 feet by 31 foet more or less, add an addition oflO feet by li feet more or less, there will not be any wull built under said building where suid .addition joins the main building.Said job must be completed on or before the firs' day of October next.c.
