TEM Tidibecout action of CO HBREAS, recent action of Congress, by ¢ of the restriction against Slavery in the Territory: eul United States contained in the act for the son of Missouri, coupled as that repeal has been with Previous and subsequent measures having a direct tendency to ex tend the institution of Slavery, and involve the people a the Free States directly and actively in its support, he brought the question of Slavery home to every citizen of the Free States as a question involving National hone and personal Liberty . Therefore, = Resolved, That we do hereby call upon all our fellow citizens of Pennsylvania, without former part distinctions to meet in general Mass Convention, in the City of PITTS. BURG, on Wednesday, the 5th day of September next.¢ organize a RePusican Party whose object shall be ee lace all branches of government actively on the side of Liberty. Resolved, That the newspapers throughout Stat be requested to publish the foregoing. ~ Resolved, That the names and Post Office address of the persons taking part in the proceedings of this meet ing be hereto appended, so far as the Secretary may be able to obtain them.
