Frightful Accident at a Ltcifkr-match Ma nufactory.—At about noon on Wednesday, the i neighbourhood of Queen’s-street, Finsbury, was greatjy alarmed by a loud explosion resembling the discharge of a piece of ordnance, that took place at the lucifer-match manufactory in that street, the windows of which were completely demolished and driven out by the force of the concussion. Mr. Povah, the proprietor of the place, it appeared, had been mixing together some of the combustible ingredients used in the business, when, by some means or other, they ignited and blew him back some distance, where he lay in a state of insensibility.
