The IVenther.—Since June commencthe weather has been warmer this year thaon any year since the gi eat Eclipse. Witfweather we have bail numerous heavrains, several thunder gusts and very vivilightning. In several parts of the in torimuch damage has been experienced by frees in the rivers. A new barn in Westowith 17 tons of hay in it, and numerous vauabie articles, the property of GeorgeSmith Esq. were destroyed on SaturdayTravel I ers from Hi ogham mention, thatbarn in that town was struck and consuned on Monday last. A barn at Mount Yenon9b elonging to Mr., S. Bishop, withitons of bay in it, was latelv consumed, Whave seen many barn9 in the country witlightning rods attached to them, and to sombarns two; and we never remember to havheard of a barn consumed which had acoduct or to it. On Saturday, at 3 P. M. in thitown t!e heat was indicated at 98degreand the mercury in a thermometer placed ithe sun in Congress street, for a few minuterose to 13G. The heat on Sunday was saidto be more excessive.L
