WEDNESDAY AUGUST 17.1977Hope College will begin its 113th academic year the weekend of Aug. 27 with the arrival of freshmen and other new students.Classes will begin Wednesday, Aug. 31 for the estimated 2,200 students. The college is anticipating a new student enrollment of 640 men and women, including approximately 550 freshmen.Faculty will attend pre-school conferences Friday, Aug. 26 Residence halls will open Aug. 27.The opening convocation for the school year will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
