HAMBURG, Ark. (Special) The two Ashley county youths found dead on U.S. 82 west of Montrose Thursday. died from injuries inflicted when they were struck by a car, according to William Jones, Ashley County coroner. The victims were identified as Roy Jones Jr., 19, and Cecil Hill, 21, both of Hamburg The coroner made this report after receiving an oral report from the coroner at Monroe where the bodies were taken for autopsies Jones said the two youths were apparently hitchhiking from Lake Village back to Ham burg when they were struck by a car He said the driver of the car has not been identified Two motorists later struck the dead bodies shortly after 4:30 am. and reported the fact to Hamburg officials According to Ashley County Sheriff B. A. Courson, the au topsy revealed no alcohol, nor was there any food in the youths’ stomachs according to the report. He is continuing to investigate the incident. Hill is survived by his par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hill of Hamburg: a brother, Billy Hill of Hamburg and five sis ters, Mrs. Rachel Coleman and Mrs Ruth Palmer, both of Mis sissippi, Mrs. Clara Thomas of Warren, Mrs. Joan Haire of California and Mrs. Minnie Pear of Hamburg. His funeral will be at 2 pm Monday at Jones Funeral Chap el in Hamburg, with burial in Hamburg Cemetery Jones is survived by his par ents, Roy Jones Sr. of Louisiana and Mrs. Reola Jones of Ham burg; four brothers, Charley Nelson, Joe and William Jones, all of Mississippi; two sisters, Misses Annie Marie and Pa tricia Jones, both of Mississip pi His funeral was held Saturday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Hamburg Cemetery.
