Ilderton, Inc., was elected by the Dodge dealers hi this section of North Carolina. He will represent them on the Dodge Washington Begional Advisory Conference for the1970 term.This group represents over three-hundred Dodge dealers in the Washington region in an advisory capacity to the Dodge factory. Ilderton has represented this area and has been a member of the national conference lor eight terms.Mendenhall NamedEd Mendenhall, realtor, has been selected as a member of the American Society of Real Estate Counselors. She is closing that business to devote full time to her assignment with Hanes.Ward Sabs UpWard Foods, Inc. has announced record earnigs for the six months ended June 3(1, Earnings totaled $2,976,000 or $1.05 per share fo common stock compared with $2,761,000 or 94 cents per share reported for the same period in 1968, adjusted for a 3 per cent stock dividend and restated to reflect poolings of interest and residualsecurities.Income before extraordinary credit due to utilization of tax loss carryovers amounted to $1.02 per share for the first half of 1969 compared to 78 per cents per share in the first half of 1968 or anincrease of 34 per cent.Sales for the six month period totaled $191,275,090 or 27 per cent above the $150,688,000 recorded in the same periodin 1968.Wins AwardThe 1968 annual report of the American Furniture Company of Martinsville, Va. has won the printing industry of America’s top award in the 1969 Graphic Arts Awards Competition in Cleveland, Ohio.The annual report made generous use of full-color photography and focused on the young marketing team responsible for the sales growth of American o f Martinsville furniture.The graphic arts award competition involved 3187 individual entries from 645 firms in the United States and Canada.
