Result CHICAGO, Aug. 16—In spite of the longest and highest hit that ever was made at Comiskey Park those pennant-chasing White Sox licked the Boston Red Sox in the final game of the series today after a see-saw com bat, 7 to 6. Big Babe Ruth, who has been giving home-run exhibitions at all American League parks this sea son, staged the record drive when in the fifth inning with Oscar Vitt on first base and one out, he hit one up into some white floating clouds and out over the right-field bleachers into the soccer football field.
