liuuU I£ol)l)ory at Kcwiiiice. 1A very bold robbery took place in Kewanee Monday afternoon. Somo time during tho day, two men left a satchel in the First National Bank saying they would call for it. After the bank was closed they rapped on the door andasked for the satchel. MissOarrioPaimer,.♦an assistant in tho bank, opened the door, when one of tho men grabbed her by the neck and kicked her nearly insensible. The other man rushed by to Mr Pratt the acting cashier, and knocked him down with a revolver. Mr.Pratt and Miss Palmnea were then pushed into tho vault and tho door closed. Tho two robbers took possession of all the money at hand, consisting of $12,000 in gold, $1,000 in silver and $5,000 in currency, and walked out of town. By, the aid of a ton cent piece, after an hour’s exertion, Miv Pratt succeeded in opening the vault door arid gave the alarm.
