Cutting and Maiming.—This revolting crime seemsto be on the increase in our rural districts. On Sunday morning a poor fellow’ named Richard Fagg, an agricultural labourer, was brought to Dover union in a very precarious state, he having received a deep wound with a hook, five or sis inches m length, in the back of the neck, from another labourer named Sharpe, on the previous evening. It appears the parties, withi some others, had met at a beershop at Eythorne, where a quarrel ensued, in the course of which Fagg received this desperate wound.
