The family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Teer enjoyed their annual family reunion in the spacious back yard at the home of Mrs. Dan Reed at 303 BR. Houston Street in Mexia. Forty-seven members of the family gathered from near and far to enjoy the picnic lunch spread on tables set on the well shaded lawn. The family enjoyed taking pictures and visiting with one another, throughout the af ternoon. The five surviving daughters of Mr. and Ms. Teer attended the reunion. They ate Mrs. Lucy Barner and Mrs. Ruth Pruitt, both of Corsicana; Mrs. Iva Reed and Mrs. Irene Conn of Mexia; and Mrs. Coryne Jones and her husband Lawrence Macdones of Austin. Others who attended were Mrs. Veola Terr, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rogers and sons, Jerry and Kevin , all of Wortham. Those from Mexia were Mr. and Mrs. Cliff W. Meredith and son Chris, Mrs. Clifford Meredith, Robert Conn, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Donny Wright and son Stacy, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Pruitt, Mrs. Dewey Wright and Mrs. Lola Vickery. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Darby and children, Bobbie and Troy, and Marijane Cleere, all of Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hancock of Grand Island, Nebraska and their son Don Hancock, stationed at Ft. Hood; Mr. and Mrs. David Dycus and children, Bryant, Bruce, Missy, and Mandy of Ft. Worth; and Mrs. Pat Manes and children Karen and Scott, and Mrs. Floydelle Dyer all of Mesquite. TO BE HONORED Mrs. Hezzie Winn, 1320 East Palestine, will celebrate her 97th birthday on August 17. She is the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Houston and is the mother of six children and has ten grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and eight great- great-grandchildren. She is the oldest member of the Mexia United Methodist Church.
