Funeral services were held in Smith Funeral Chapel in Junction Sunday for George Robert (Bob) Ivy, 91, who died Saturday in Kerrville State Home after a long illness. Burial was in Red Creek Cemetery. Walter W. Leamons conducted the services. Mr. Ivy was born in Lampasas. He moved to Kimble County in the early 1890’s and served as sheriff for four years. He also ranched and operated a business in Kimble County. In 1891 he married Miss Eugene Vallentine Young. She died in 1954. Survivors include four sons, A. C. (Scout) Ivy of Austin, E. H. (Babe) Ivy of Melvin, O. C. (Tybo) Ivy of London and L. A. (Shack) Ivy of Abilene, several grandchil dren and great grandchildren.
