Walter Swoope of Clearfield held today the most coveted golfer's title of Central Pennsylvania--the Central Counties Golf Association champion ship. Tle defeated Poster Cupp of Lew istown in the finals at Philipsburg Saturday, Swoope, who was medalist with 74, had won the tournament before. Fred Sweeley, of Clearfield, captured the second 16 test, defeating a strong field including Claude Decker of State College, the 1937 tournament winner. Dr. M. J. Tornatore of Clearfield, was the other local prize-winner. He won the flight for the beaten eight.
