Lowell Wrucke and R. O. Erich were in Bismarck Tuesday. Mr. Er *ch finding it necessary to consult a doc tor regarding his eyes. Rev. Corbit received word Tuesday of the death of his father, who resid ed in Nebraska. Mr. Corbit found it impossible to leave at this time to at tend the funeral. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. Corbit in his bereavement. The Carlson store front has re ceived a new coat of paint, G. W. Jones being the artist. Lou Omdahl was all smiles Wed nesday morning owing to the arrival of a 12-pound boy at their home. Lloyd Lonn was looking after busi ness matters in town Thusday. It seems as though houses are at a pre mium in Leith at present. Mr. Lonn has not been able to find one as yet. J. Ed McVey of Brisbane was vis iting with his mother, Mrs. Barbara McVey, who has not been so well of late. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Townsend of Elgin were in Leith Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schomer and son and daughter of Omaha, Neb., are visiting relatives and friends in Leith and vicinity. The Schomers were formerly residents of Grant county. H. W. Gibson, who has been suf fering from a tooth infection, is much better. Rev. and Mrs. Corbit were visiting at the Woodbury home west of Car son Thursday. The young son of Mr. and Mrs. Wahl was taken to the hospital at Bismarck where he was operated on for ruptured appendix. The boy is getting along nicely now. E. T. Saunders made a business trip to Bismarck Wednesday. Mrs. Roy Root and brother, Ameal Brinkman, were called to Canistota, S. D., Monday, by the serious illness of their father. Mrs. Harvey Johnson of New Eng land, sister-in-law of Mrs. Lou Om dahl, is assisting in the care of the new baby at the Omdahl home. A. J. Herbert of south of town, was transacting business in Leith Friday. Mrs. A. W. Kimball, nephew, Bud dey Cornell, and son Billy stopped in Leith a short time Monday on their way to Elgin. E. L. Mellon was a New Leipzig vis itor Friday. George Knutson accompanied Tom Anderson to Monday Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Becker and son of Minneapolis, who have been visiting at the Max Ellman home, returned to Minneapolis Sunday. E. J. Lawfer assisted the Carson band during the rodeo there the 9th and 10th. E. Anhorn and daughter Grace and Ceata Emch, of Carson, were in Leith Friday, the girls coming over for music lessons. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Martin and lit tle son were dinner guests Sunday at the N. C. Emeh home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sept of Bris bane spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. ©. Emeh. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Saunders who have been making their home in Mis souri, arrived in Leith Saturday and have rented an apartment in the Dan Bierwagon residence. J. Wahl, manager of the K. of P. hall, started Geteegsy migno 8 Keer contract with Metro-Goldwyn pictures and will be be putting on some new and up-to-date pictures. Theo.
