Among Our Colored Friends.Milton Staten and Clarence and Archie Good spent Sunday at Madison.Mrs. Lucinda Mitchell, who has been on the sick list, is now able to be out again.Mrs. Elmer Goins went to Greensburg Sunday night to attend the Fair.Mrs. Stella Easton went to Indianapolis Sunday.Albert Phillips is still on the sick list from riding in the lover’s tub at our Fair. fSalmon Colbert and son are here visiting relatives.The North Vernon and Vernonpeople joined together last Thursday and gave a pionicat Babb’swoods.Mrs. Addie Bolden gave a birthday party in honor of Ethel Petti-ford one night recently. Those present were: Eva and Myrtle Bolden, Carrie Johnson, Daisy Henry, Alva and Della Bolden, Anna Goins and Ethel Mitchell. Carl Mitchell, John Johnson, John Henry, Albert Phillips, Roy and Ralph Pettiford, Elmer Goins and Ellard Pettiford. After a late hour all departed wishing MissPettiford many more such happy birthdays.AJohn Dunn, of Deputy was a business visitor to this city yes-terday.Riley Collins has sold his grocery store to Frank Knaub, who will continue the business in theold State Bank building, corner ofFifth and Hoosier streets.
