Zager, the father of two of the injured lads, was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Hanley yesterday afternoon at Funic Pierce, on a warrant ewoto out by Smith, who alleges that Zager was the man who shot at him. jMr. Zager made no resistance, but ctnne quieily to town j lie said to a representative ol the P*e-publican yesterday afternoon: “There 13 absolutely no truth in the charge. 1 j never shot at Smith, at short range or ( any olhw way, I did drive past him . on the road from Frank Piorce, and ! when he was a quarter of a mile away.I fired at a fence with my i evolve r, but I did not ehoot at Smith.” *Tne case wae brought before 'Squire Barber, and late in the afternoon 011 change of venue, beforo ‘Squire Dodder. Speaking of the children'* cooditlon, he said: “Thpy sro doing well, and I think now all five will recover,”
