Mrs. R. Germaine and children arrived on Tuesday evening- from Hong Kong, coming over on the “Victoria.” Mrs. Germaine reports a pleasant voyage, the only discomforts being the extreme officiousness of the customs officials. She is staying with Mrs. Forrest until the Baptiste house is vacated. The Victoria brought over $420,000 of silk, and $600,000 of tea, 3506 tons in all, which makes her single cargo worth oyer a million dollars.
