A tragic affair took place in Princeton, on last Monday about, noon. Holiday Brneo shot- Ins step-father three times, killing him instantly. Tiie old man has him in the habit of “tilling up” going home and unmercifully beating his wife ; thss estate of a flairs has been going on for several voars, and previous to this, he had threatened to kill the hoy, and his mother. The climax came Monday, when Von Bruce went home drunk, terrorised his family, run the boy into a corner, and was attempting to kill him with a knife, when the boy shot him to save his own life.It was a plain case of self-defence, an4 Squire v/right, acquitted at, a preliminary bearing Bruce was a Pruussi-an? ap.d u terror, when filled witt liquor.
