Anotlaur Chapter of (lie Palls NaMUr Case.The statement ia publiahed that Miles Fawcett, for whose murder Joaiah Potta and hia wife Elizabeth were hanged at Elko last June, waa married to the wo man, under the name of Mra. Elizabeth Atherton, in San Francisco in Maroh, 1887. Fawcett subsequently applied toan attorney to investigate the woman's-antecedents, as he believed all waa not right. The attorney found the woman had previously been married to PotU, who was living at Carlio. Fawcett waa much enamored of hia wife, and waa in-duccd by the return of $105, which he had paid a female marriage broker who brought a pout the marriage, to atop all legal proceedinga against Mrs. PotU It is thought the knowledge Fawcett had of the woman's guilt of the crime of bigamy, waa ooe inducement to his murder.Tl. .
