Tite Military Pic-ntc.—The military display yesterday was one of the finest seen since the war. The day was a beautiful one. The rain of the day previous had the effect to, in a great measure, keep down the dust, and the wind blew a gentle and moat refreshing gale.Under charge of the accomplished Chief Marshal, Colonel Fred Beck, jr., the procession organized and formed on Mound street at 7)* o’clock, the right resting on High street. At 8 o,clock the line moved up High to Broad, up Broad to FoQrth, up Fourth to North, down North to Front, up Front to Goodale Park.The festivities commenced in the Park at 10 o’clock, and from then until dark pleasure reigned supreme.We were compelled to leave Goodale Park early, and did not get back in time to bear the speeches.The silver pitcher shot for was won by Sergeant Daniel Bresnaban, of the Emmet Guards, who made a center shot. It was too late to shoot for the watch, ani it was reserved for the next parade.About 7o’clock the line was reformed and the companies—the Sherman Guards* Emmet Guards and Coldstream Zouaves— marched Co the State House, where a dress parade was had under Col. Fred. Beck, jr.At nigbt the Emmet’s gave a bail at Naughton nail, where dancing was kept up to an early hour this morning.We venture the assertion that there were a larger number of persons in attendance at Goodale Park yesterday afternoon, than ever were out on a similar occasion before, and all enjoyed themselves hugely.To the attention and care of Marshal Beck and the geuUemanly and liberal Era-met Guarks, wos'due the good order that prevailed throughout the day, and the universal enjoyment of the guests. When our citizen soldiers have another parade ••may we be there to see.”
