Made and concluded this the 19th day of July, A. D. 1'8C2, by and between the County of Kossuth inihe State of Iowa on the first pbrt, arid “The American Immigrant Company” by tlioar agent T. 13. Brown, of Dos Moines, Iowa, of the second part, its follows, to wit:The party of the lirstepart devote, and by these presents hav'exli)voted unto the said Company for the purpose hereinafter mentioned'dll .the Swamp and Overflowed lands Of ^aid County, and all the proceeds thereof anddluiut for the same , oil-the United Status, timBali other par-ties—not Heretofore sold by said county.In consideration Of said county devo* ting the same to said Company, they agree to make and erect at their own cost and expense, furnishing their ownmateria.!, one thousand dollars ($1,000)worth of any kind of public Improve* incuts for which the said .Swamp B ind fund may be devoted, that she Board { of Supervisors may order within the said , county, the same to bn done in » good ( substantial uud worktmialike manner, of good suitable material, and of a character and after specification* to bo furnished said Company by the Board of Supervisors within one yuai, and notice of the same given to the local agent of \\thii use hereinafter named of the same.
