Parkin Scott, of Baltimore,’ John Parian, of Calvert county, was called tem-• porarily to the Chair, and Geo. A. Hanson, of 1 Frederick, temporary Secretary.Bradley T. Johnson moved the appointment ! of a Committee on Credentials, which was opposed by ex-Governor Pratt, on the ground that the Convention was a unit, and the object of the assembling of the Convention was well known, ami he hoped no form or ceremony would be adhered to.Mr. Wicks, of Kent, favored the appintment of the proposed Committee, as be thought regularity should be observed. The opposition, after discussion, was withdrawn and the Committee was appointed as follows: Allegany, ThomasHopkins; Anne Arundel, Gov. T. G. Archer; Howard, John S. Watkins;Kent, Richard W. Ringgold ; Montgomery, Benj.Shreeve;. Prince George’s, Fendell Marbury ;Queen Anne’s, Dr. Thomas S. Wilson; St.Mary's, George F.
