Unsolved mysteries plaguingBy RANDY BARTLEYTri-County Sunday WriterJefferson and Clarion County authorities are trying to unravel four unsolved mysteries in thearea. Three of the four cases involve questions in three deaths and a fourth the disappearance if a Warren County man.The search for a missing Sheffield, Pa., man has shifted to Brookville.Dean H. Farnsworth, 29, of 52 Second Mill St., Sheffield, was last seen in the Johnsonburgarea on July 1, 1993. His vehicle was found five days later on July 6 near Brookville at Truck-stops of America at Exit-13 of Interstate 80, according to theJohnsonburg at about 5:30 p.m. on July 1 in an unknown direction.The Warren County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward for information leading to the discovery of Farnsworth. Anyone with information regarding this case should call 1-800-83CRIME.The Farnsworth case is the latest in a string of unsolved cases in the area.The cause of death of a New York man, found suspended from an Interstate 80 bridge in Jefferson County, has still notbeen determined according toJefferson County Coroner Chris Burkett.The body of Albert P. Scelia, 40, of Carmel, N.Y., was found hanging from a drain pipe in the median strip of the interstate in Washington Township. His body was discovered by PennDOT workers.Burkett has spent several days recently in New York conducting interviews with the victim’s family and co-workers in an effort to determine if foul play was involved in Scelia’s death.Forensic experts at Mercy-hurst College in Erie have found Scelia suffered several injuries in the week prior to his death which occurred between late Au-See UNSOLVED, Page 10Warren County Crime Stoppers, Inc.Farnsworth is described as a white male with brown hair andblue eyes.
