The old Signal Corps telegraph line between Nenana and Fairbanks lias been abandoned and all messages arc now being sent over the railroad wires by way of Dunbar, which is a comparatively new line and in splendid working order. The station at Chena has been closed and the equipment will be picked up l»v the transport Jacobs on the present trip up river. The signal corps men in charge there will he detailed to duly elsewhere in the Territory. The old line, which follows the hills bordering the Tan-ana river, was a source of much trouble to the Signal Corps boys, who were frequently called upon to make long trips to make needed repairs.
