Barn and Stable of Edwin B. Thorn Destroyed, AUGUSTA, Me, Aug 14—Fire today destroyed the barn and stable of Ed win B. Thorn on the Thomaston road. A large herd of cattle was burned and the entire hay crop. The house was saved and also the horses. The loss is $4000. Grangers at Hedding, NH. EPPING, NH, Aug 14—Eastern New Hampshire, East Rockingham, West Rockingham and Gov.Bacheloor Pomona Granges today united in a largely at tended field day at Hedding camp grounds. In the morning a demonstration of im proved methods of canning was given by Misa Barah In Bates. Porta ieee Afternoon features were addresses and an ilustrated lecture on animal hus bandry by Roy E. Batchelder of New Hampshire College.
