Bream, of Albion, wili preach at the Mt. Pleasant church next Monday morning at 10:30.Mrs. L. Harvey is in the hospital at Garrett taking treatment. Sht expects to be gone three weeks.Frank Aungst, of Kendallville, wa* the guest of James Sweet Wednesday. Also Jack Riddle and son Otho and family of Kendallville spent Sunday at the same place. Mr. Sweet has been very sick this summer, but at this writing is some belter.Mrs. Allen Strater, of Kendallville, and sister, Mrs. Minda Black oi Traverse City, Mich., were visitin? g old time friends in Jefferson Wed* k I needay.The frost last Friday and Satur day night did a lot of damage in this locality to the corn, cucumber vines and buckwheat.The Sunday school of the Albion Evangelical, Lutheran church, Reho-beth and Mount Pleasant have arranged for a joint picnic, to be held at Skinner lake August 13.C. C. Winner fell out of the hay mow last Monday afternoon and got hurt quite badly.Mr. and Mrs, Howard Heis and two daughters. Fern and Letta, of Cleveland, Ohio, are at present visiting relatives in Jefferson.Mr. and Mrs. George Pees visited relatives at Churubusco last week.The Smiths in South Jefferson are entertaining company from the west Miss Ruby Bortner spent Sunday with friends at Albion.Mrs. Lillie Freed entertained company from Auburn and South Bend last Sunday.
