GEM THEATER IS SOLDA. J. Ritz Transfers Ownership of Picture Show to L. B. McGee.The Gem theatre now has a new owner and manager. A. J. Ritz this morning transferred his interest to L. B. McGee, who for the past five years has been employed by the telephone company. Prior to the withdrawal of the Pacific States company from this city he was local manager of that corporation.Mr. Ritz has been doing a good business and would not dispose of his amusement enterprise but for the fact that he was lucky in drawing a first class quarter section in the Kalispell land drawing. He is compelled to locate thereon very soon or forfeit his land. He will now be able to depart for Montant the last of this week and locate at once.The Gem theatre was opened up in the room now occupied by the McGill grocery. The owners were Ritz Demaris. A few months later the junior partner sold his interest to Ritz and the location was changed to the rear of the Olympia Cigar Stand.
