The alarm of fire, sounded about ten o'clock lat night, was caused by the burning of a two-story frame building belonging to a negro. The house was situated near the Rolling Mill, and was entirely consumed, though the engines were promptly out but failed to reach the accne in timo. We did not ascertain whether it was cohered by insurance.
