For the last three weeks and actually, from the beginning of this season, 1 have been trying to stress the importance of registered members showing up and being on time for a game. 1 can’t say that I’ve succeeded. On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Golds were to play the Blues in the second game of the evening. As it turned out, Blue were unable to put 6 players on the floor and Gold just barely managed to produce seven men. The result was a win by default for Golds but it deprived both teams from advancing in the scoring race. This is hard to understand since both teams have rosters of over ten players each. Why they can’t get at least sixout to a game is beyond me.The first game that same night saw the Greens upset the front running Reds in a close 4-3 contest. It was the first time this year thatGreen has beaten Red andthe third straight time thatDoug Johnstone has beenunable to sdore against theGreens.
