CARL ANDERSON ANNOUNCES FIRST NINE HOLES OF NEW GOLF COURSE WILL BE READY BY NOY. 1.Venice, Aug. 11.—Carl Anderson, incharge of the golf course construction,announced today that the first 9 holes be ready to ylay on by November 1.This will be welcome news to West Coast golfers, as they have been looking forward to the opening of the Venice links.The first 9 holes have all been seeded and the fairways are rapidly coming into shape. The second 9 holes will befinished within 60 days after the opening of the first nine.Several of the holes have optional routes for the “duffer” and at the same time Mr. Anderson is making an excellent professional course. Carl Anderson and Ken Smith, of the George A. Fuller Company, have been representing Venice in a series of matches on the West Coast during the past few days.CARL ANDERSON
