Jackson Walker Dead.* Jackson Walker, one ot Butler's most highly esteemed citizens, died at his home on Ka! Bine street, Tuesday aftenvvn, August 12.He was born in Virginia actd came to Missouri with a iairah namedHood. They first settled m St,Clair county but soon moved to Cooper county. In about iS;m he came to. Bates county with Green Walton and family, bmce he caiuc to this county he has hid but three employers, Mr. Walton. A. McBride Co., and the Missouri StateBank, by whom he was employed up to the time of his death. In the early So's he was a familiar figure on the streets of Butler driving the big covered delivery wagon of the McBride company. After dissolution of this company he secured employment as janitor of the Missouri Mate Bank. He is survived by a wife and six children.He was an honest, industrious trustworthy citizen. He possessedthe happy disposition qL-so many of his race and his passing will be mourned by countless friends both of his own race and among the whites.
