II. Newding, of New York City and Miss Sarah Abersohn of thiscity. \vhi: h took place at the parlors of the Grimes House Tuesday evening. The novelty of a Jewish wedding is a thing that our people had never witnessed and every one was eager to be present at the ceremony, Which in this case differed very little from that of other religious sects. The parlors of the hotel were crowded with the large number of guests present, there being nearly two hundred, many of whom were from abroad. At 7 o’clock the bride and groom entered the parlor accompanied by their nearest relatives and friends and proceeded by Rabbi Jacob Wile, of LaPorte-who performed the ceremony which u'as about twenty minutes in length. The bride was elegantly attired in a dress of cinnamon colored silk, trimmed in point lace; and with orange blossoms and tulle veil fastened m her hair. The groom was dressed in a neat fitting conventional suit of black, and wore white kid gloves. After the ceremony had been performed a sumptuous banquet was spread in the diningroom, after which the greater part of the company repaired -to thsopeirs where they spent afew pleasant hours in dancing tf Use music of Thomas’ orchestra. The bride is the daughter of Mr. I). Abersohn, a resident of this place for several years, and was one of the most esteemed young ladies of this city, and she will be missed not onlv from the home of her father but from the circle of young folks with whom she lias been associated for years. Mr. Newding is a young man of tine appearance, doing business in New' York City. The happy couple left, yesterday afternoon, for New York City which will be their future home. Many a happy God spaed and tire best wishes, for a happy life, of all their friends go with them to their new home. The presents were unusually fine and numerous, the following being theLIST OF PRESENTS:Silver Tea Set, Mr and Mrs H B Shelter, Mr and Mrs W H Weber, Misses Fannie Davis, Fannie Arnold, Carrie McHenry.
