TaaWrday afternoon, however, it was discovered that the pipe was tilled to the top and that the water was slowly discharging. It ia thought that by drilling flftden or twenty feet deeper an extensive flow will be procured. The well ia uow down 284 feet and rests in the water tussling sand rook. There is considerable excitement over the probable resalt of this experiment, as it indicates that artesian wells osn be constructed in this section at a oost of not more than eight hundred dollars oach.
