A family supper was held at the home of Jake and Maurene Borne, Fork River, on August 4, 1980, when the family of Harold and Mildred Abrey assembled to honour their parents on their thirty-fifth wedding anniver sary. Jake Borne welcomed the guests and Lloyd Abrey present ed his parents with a gift on behalf of the family. Harold and Mildred Abrey (nee Hackland) were united in marriage by the Reverend Dr. Sweet, on July 7, 1945, in Calvary Temple, Winnipeg, Man. Sharing the anniversary sup per were thirty-five guests, including five of the six children twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The former Stoesz girls of Winnipeg sang several trios for their grandparents. Out-of-town guests at the Borne home were: Ruth and Ben Stoesz, Winnipeg, Ida and John Wreggit, Gilbert Plains, Lloyd and Eileen Abrey... Brian, Robin, Kevin and Darren, Glen boro; Jerry and Martha Abrey and Jason, Dauphin; Lily and Bob Wiebe, Bobby and Tammy; Sharon Pringle and Jamie; Mar jory and Don Hayes and Chris topher, all of Winnipeg; Ross and Elaine Wreggit and Darrin, Ashville; Jolene and Jerry Plawicki, Julie and Travis of Dauphin, Man, and guests of honour, Harold and Mildred Abrey of Grandview.
