Martti “Tommi” Kurittu, 17- year-old boy from Finland, has been selected to spend the 1971- 72 school year in Fairfield under the Youth for Understanding ex change program. He will make his home with Mr. and Mrs. Frederic Flins pach and four children, Fair field Route 4. He will arrive in time for the opening of school. Tommi will be the first for eign student to come to Fair field under the YFU program. He is a resident of Helsinki where his father is a civil en gineer and his mother is a bank accountant. He also has two older sisters, one of whom spent a year in California as an American Field Service student. Tommi speaks English and has studied the language for four years. He plays the guitar and enjoys swimming and ski ing. He is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and plans to study for a foreign service career, Fairfield High School will have two other foreign students this fall: One is a girl from Thailand under the AFS pro gram and the other is a girl from Germany coming under the Rotary International Ex change program. The Flinspachs’ son, James, 16, is now in Mexico under the Partners of the Alliance sum mer program. He flew to Me rida, Yucatan, on Aug. 1 to spend several weeks in the home of Jose Luis Encalada.
