Much sympathy is felt and expressed for Mrs. Belle Dean in her bereave ment in the death of her last child, Mrs. Flora Wright, of Easton. Her other daughter was murdered by Marshall Price when on her way to school. He paid the penalty for his crime at the hand of lynchers in Denton 37 years ago. Her husband's death soon fol lowed and a married son soon followed him. And now she is over 80 years of age and the last one has gone. Mrs. Wright was born and raised here and had a host of friends to mourn her loss. Mr. George Cook and mother, Mrs. Nannie Cook, of Baltimore, spent sev eral days recently with her sister, Mrs. Mary E. Duhadaway. Mr. Cook re turned to Baltimore on Monday, leav ing his mother with her sister to re cuperate from her recent illness. The Rev. W. T. Archer wishes to announce that Harmony M. P. Church will be officially opened on Sunday eve ning, August 14. Everybody come and be welcome. Mrs. Mary Berge, of Baltimore, spent several days with her grand mother, Mrs. McNash, who is spending the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Pliny Todd, of this place, and Mr. and Mrs. Olin Todd vis ited Shiloh Camp last week and heard Billy Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Storey, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ferrins and Mr. and Mrs. Nat Frampton are tenting at Elwood Camp. Miss Pearl Willis has returned from summer school and will soon return to her school on the Western Shore. Miss Marian McConnell and brother, Billie, of Wilmington, are spending their vacation with relatives here. The Harmony Community Club held their picnic in the Grove near Smith son on Wednesday, Aug. 10th. Mr. and Mrs. Pliny Todd accompan ied Mrs. Roland Towers to Tolchester on Sunday and spent the day. Master Jack Pyle, of Washington, is spending the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Nat Frampton. Mr. Sherman Griffith is having the canning house repaired preparatory to canning tomatoes. Mrs. Mary E. Duhadaway has been spending a few days in Easton with friends. We are sorry to report Mrs. Nora Kelley on the sick list. Mr. Francis Kelley lost a good mule this week.
