Mr. and Mrs. Jno, Eads, of Ver sailles, were guests of Hannah Hugh, Sunday. After a tew days visit with rela tives and friends in Batesville, Miss Grace Hicks has returned to her home here. Harry Behlmer and wife spent Sunday at Shutters Corner, Mr. and Mrs. John Sammons were in Osgood, Wednesday. Mrs. Fred Timke who has been ‘Sick since February died Thursday morning. Funeral from Lutheran church, Sunday, John Kanning, dir ector Miss Sadie Fowl and her mother spent Thursday afternoon in town. Mrs. Josephine Boerner is visiting in Vevay, Ellsworth Dean and wife were visiting friends in Greensburg, Sat urday and Sunday. L. D. Helmsath transacted busi ness in Greensburg, Monday. Mr. Luther Shook is spending this week in Rush county. . . The Baptist young people were Picnicing in Laughery, Tuesday. Miss Myrtle Arkenburg and Mrs. Rose Lane, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam McGaughey. The Baptist church of this place went as delegates to the Association at Sardinia, Alice Newman, Daisy Black, Watson Gookins and Emory Wiehking. Frank Morgan a soldier stationed near Cincinnati, visited his wife who was formerly Miss Lillie Bruner, of this place, this week. Philip Bruner and his uncle were guests of John Sammons and wife, Friday. Mr and Mrs. Jas. Hazelrigg, spent Thursday and Friday at Sardinia, at tending the Baptist Association. An infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Gooxins was laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery Friday. _The bereaved parents have the sym pathy of their many friends.
