• r. 4 J7. T V . ^The great coal bearing area of the Crow’s Nest district in Hast Kootenay, comprises between 300,000 and 400,000 aci*es. There are seams of coal overlying one another to the thickness of 140 feet more or leas, capable of yielding 50,000,000 loos of coal to the saoare mile. This wlwile property, with the exception of 50,000 acres to be transferred to the Dominion government, willaccrue on completion of the Crow’sNest Hailway, to the Crow’s NestCoal Company.
