On this one of our city dailies founds a sneer, as it often does in matters pertaining to the Christian religion. Per aps the same paper would sneer at Maltebrun’s andOldendrop’s account of the black Jews inthe kingdom of Loango, who kept theirSabbath so strictly, had separate burying-grounds far from any habitation, with tombs constructed with masonry and ornamented with Hebrew inscriptions.
